Fragrance of Tea, Warmth Across Auckland — “Tea for Harmony: Elegant Gathering” Successfully Held
On April 22, 2026, the China Cultural Centre in Auckland successfully hosted the themed event “Tea for Harmony: Elegant Gathering.” The New Zealand Tea Institute was invited to participate, presenting a series of exquisite traditional Chinese tea art performances for the audience.
During the event, tea artist Jinjin Xie gracefully demonstrated the refined Song Dynasty whisked tea (diancha), while tea enthusiast Zhi Chen showcased the authentic Chaoshan Gongfu tea ceremony. The beautifully arranged tea settings, combined with the hosts’ professional skills, complemented each other perfectly and drew large crowds of onlookers.
The venue was bustling with visitors—some eagerly tried their hand at whisking tea, while others quietly savored the subtle flavors of the tea infusion. All expressed great admiration for the experience. This elegant gathering offered the people of New Zealand a rare opportunity to closely appreciate the profound heritage and unique charm of Chinese tea culture.
