Turkey – China Friendship Tea Gathering
A Cup of Tea, A Bridge of Friendship
Across mountains and seas, tea connects hearts —
Let East and West meet in a single cup.
On a golden spring afternoon, the New Zealand Tea Institute hosted the Turkey–China Friendship Tea Gathering, celebrating the cultural harmony and friendship between East and West. Through the universal language of tea, guests experienced how tradition and connection flow effortlessly across borders.
The event featured three exquisite teas —Lapsang Souchong, rich and smoky, reflecting the depth of Chinese tea heritage;Jasmine Silver Needle, elegant and floral, embodying purity and peace;Rosehip Tea, a Turkish favorite, bright and refreshing, symbolizing warmth and wellness.
As the aroma of tea filled the room, meaningful conversations unfolded. Each pour, each sip, became a gesture of goodwill — a reminder that friendship, like tea, deepens with time and care.
In this serene exchange of cultures, China and Turkey met not only through flavor, but through shared appreciation of nature, beauty, and peace.
